Guilford Foundation Awards $23,449 in Grants in July 2014

In July 2014, the Guilford Foundation made grants totaling $23,449. Competitive Grant Awards

  • $5,000 to First Congregational Church for emergency housing assistance (Guilford Interfaith Housing Fund and the Effie Good Fund)
  • $3,000 to Orchard House for cultural day trips for seniors (Effie Good Fund)
  • $1,500 to ERACE / Branford Adult Education for job mentoring for students (Stuart Burt Fund, Corky Fisher Fund, and Al & Gene Bishop Fund for Vocational and Industrial Arts)
  • $500 to Shoreline Arts Alliance for Rising Stars Summer Theatre Camp (Elisabeth Adams Fund)
  • $500 to Camp Hazen YMCA for financial aid for Guilford Campers (Elisabeth Adams Fund)
  • $400 to the Guilford Garden Club for a tree for Rollwood Park (Elizabeth Stevens Tree Fund)

Previously Approved Multi-Year Grants

  • $2,900 to Connecticut Forest & Park Association for the final year funding the Chittenden Park boardwalk (Michael & Maryann Bracken Fund, Helen E. Downing Outdoor Education Fund, Elizabeth Stevens Tree Fund, Trustees Fund)
