The Guilford Foundation Publishes 2023 Impact Report

Hot off the press is our 2023 Impact Report. The purpose of the communication tool is to spotlight the invaluable work of TGF’s nonprofit partners, who enrich the community, and show donors the tangible difference local philanthropy makes. Nearly $795,000 was invested into the community last year which is the highest amount ever awarded by TGF.

Much of the report communicates our financial overview, Board members, Ambassadors, Youth Advisory Group students, donors, grant and sponsorship recipients, and 70+ named charitable funds. Through storytelling, Impact Report puts a name and a face to those who give and those benefit from the Foundation’s grantmaking. This year, the report features:

  • Donors: Joe and Cindy Goldberg (charitable fund focused on children)
  • Grantees: GreenStage Guilford (live arts), Orchard House (seniors), & BHcare (mental health)
  • Partners: Town of Guilford (collaboration to distribute $1 Million in ARPA federal funding)

“We hope that our sharing the stories of those people behind the numbers, provides those who support TGF a better sense of the impact and importance of local giving,” said Executive Director Liza Janssen Petra. “The report spotlights the range of nonprofits we support and the support community gives to the Foundation. We are truly grateful for our donors who allow us to fulfill our mission to connect people with causes that matter.”
