TGF Announces $71,400 in Scholarships for 2025 GHS Seniors

The Guilford Foundation (TGF) is excited to share that 34 scholarships and two prizes, totaling $71,400, have been awarded to exceptional seniors from Guilford High School. This financial support will assist these young scholars as they embark on their post-secondary education, whether it’s college or vocational school.

The awards, which range from $600 to $6,550, are made possible through the generous contributions of donor-established funds at TGF.

“It is a tremendous honor to present these awards,” said Executive Director Liza Janssen Petra. “Each scholarship embodies the spirit of community and the belief in the importance of education. Our donors, many of whom memorialize loved ones through these funds, are making a lasting impact on the lives of our students. It is our privilege to empower these young individuals as they pursue their educational aspirations while honoring the legacies of those who made this support possible. Through our endowment model, these scholarships offer opportunities that extend for generations to come.”

TGF collaborates closely with the guidance departments to manage the scholarship process, thoughtfully pairing students with awards based on their fields of study and unique profiles. The 2025 scholarship recipients exemplify the best of Guilford’s future, striking a balance between rigorous academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, including after-school jobs, volunteer work, athletic commitments, and participation in the arts.
