Friends, bandmates, and fellow musicians will come together this Sunday, January 4, for a special benefit concert honoring the life and legacy of musician Adam Reid Ives. The event will take place at Park City Music Hall from 5:00 to 11:00 PM, with all proceeds supporting musical enrichment for youth.

Adam Reid Ives passed away far too early, but his passion for music, community, and creative expression left a lasting impression on those who knew him. In his memory, Adam’s friends and fellow musicians have launched a charitable fund that will provide scholarships and financial support to help young people access music education, instruments, lessons, and other opportunities to pursue their own musical paths.

The concert will feature performances by members of Adam’s bands, along with several of his friends’ bands — including nationally touring artists. The night will culminate in a large collaborative jam session known as The Pooh Bear Allstar Band, a nod to Adam’s longtime nickname, “Pooh Bear,” which he embraced wholeheartedly, even donning a Winnie the Pooh onesie at festivals and shows.

All ticket proceeds will benefit the Adam Reid Ives Fund for Musical Enrichment, established with The Guilford Foundation. Attendees will also have opportunities throughout the evening to make additional donations, with volunteers on hand to help guests navigate the Foundation’s website. The concert will be professionally recorded and live-streamed, allowing supporters who cannot attend in person to participate remotely. Donation information will be displayed during breaks and transitions throughout the show.

“This fund is about honoring Adam’s love of music and ensuring that young people have access to the same creative opportunities that meant so much to him,” organizers shared. “This concert reflects the community he built through music — generous, joyful, and collaborative.”
