Chloe Negron Memorial Fund
Chloe was born in New Haven in 2018 and lived her life in Connecticut, filled with joyous, loving moments with her family and friends. She was a student at ACES Village School in Hamden and a former student of Guilford Lakes Elementary School.
In her short life, Chloe touched the hearts of many with her bright eyes, precious smile, and profound love of music. Whether it was dancing to the beats of some of her family’s favorite tunes or singing along to Sesame Street’s Sunny Days, music was her happy place and provided her a way to express herself.
Chloe was diagnosed with juvenile Tay Sachs, a rare genetic neurodegenerative terminal illness that affects brain and nerve function, when she was four years old. She passed away in 2025 at the age of 6. Her life and memory will forever be a reminder of community love and support.
The Chloe Negron Memorial Fund was established in her honor to support medically-fragile children and their families and caregivers and programs that serve populations with special needs, in particular:
• Chloe’s Closet, an initiative that provides free or low-cost durable medical equipment to pediatric patients.
• Scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in music therapy from a degree-granting program to increase and strengthen the pipeline of music therapists in the state of Connecticut.
• Advocacy and research efforts focused on rare diseases and disability justice.
This donor-advised fund ensures that Chloe’s memory lives on forever, supporting a legacy of love, care, and support for children and families who walk similar journeys.
