For over 150 years, Bishop’s Orchards has been more than just a business; it’s a cornerstone of Guilford’s agricultural heritage. They’ve evolved from a dairy farm to a thriving market, continuously adapting while staying true to our roots. Each generation has brought its unique vision, and the recent addition of a Winery, Cidery, CSA Program, Creamery, and Event Space further solidifies Bishop’s Orchards as a vibrant community hub.
A job took the Feingold family from New York to Connecticut in the early 70s. They found themselves in Guilford and never looked back. To honor the family’s incredible 50+ years in our remarkable town, an unrestricted charitable fund was established to enrich the community for generations to come.
A great philanthropist, Effie Good was a lifelong resident how loved Guilford. In 2006, an unrestricted fund was set up to support her her goal of keeping things local.
Christine and Tony Fappiano established this donor advised fund in 2018 to support individuals with special needs relating to cognitive disabilities, including autism, Down Syndrome, and other disabilities, who require assistance in living a full and vibrant life.
This field of interest fund assists low—and moderate-income Guilford residents needing housing assistance or nonprofits focused on affordable housing.
Eleanor Little was an amazing woman. Born in 1885, she lived to the age of 100 and proved to be a highly successful career woman in an era that offered few opportunities to women. In her memory, an unrestricted fund was established to support Guilford and it’s emerging needs.
As a former president of The Guilford Foundation, Dan McDaniel established an unrestricted fund, knowing that providing most flexibility to respond to changing community needs.
To honor a very active community member, Stanley Page, the family established an unrestricted funds to allow the Foundation to respond to evolving community needs.
